re:"AMD is going to have 100M unit/annum"

Not sure the people estimating unit capacity have taken into account the growing transistor budget that will drive unit capacity down. Unit capacity will depend a great deal on product mix, and the extra transistors that may need to be on those units... like bigger cache. Also, is AMD going to be able to ramp without dedicating resources to chipsets or other building blocks? The world is not standing still while AMD builds its fab.

BTW, where did you pick up the 100Mu/annum estimate?

Do you suppose that debt and and other long-term obligations might have a little to do with some of the the "imbalance" in the two balance sheets?

Goodwill is recorded when one pays more than the fair market value for an entity (tangible and intangible assets). So, what did Intel buy from JFTC?

As for myself, I'm worried about what AMD might have to write off when the Spansion IPO takes place. I'm still not convinced that the IPO arrangement will stop the bleeding in AMD's bottom line. I hope I'm wrong on both accounts.
