These names simply are not buy and holders - look at KLAC NVLS - if one keep going in and out, especially taking advantage of each run up on "hopes" to sell, and each run down on "fear" to buy, one can manage a decent return even during the sad downtrend started from 2004 spring ...

However, buying and holding, one ends up with nothing but lots of heartbreaks. I stared at KLAC chart tonight, could not phantom how in the world it can run up to 50+ a month or so ago ... and everyone was so ga ga about a new dawn on them ... only to see it fell back to 40 ... almost a 20% haircut. And NVLS, from 30 back to 23/24 ...

To sell those calls, one must go in at least one strike in the money, preferably two ... just to protect the profit (if one has it).

LLTC guided down after report tonight, fwiw.
