I remember distinctly around the time Pope Paul died reading about prophesies concerning reaching the end of the Papal line. Sorry, I can't remember the source.

But one of the features was that you'd have two very short term Popes in a row. So when JPI died so quickly I thought hmmmmmm. Course JPII sat on the chair for 25 years so that falsifies that part.

Unless, you consider that JPII ALMOST died a few years into his rein and WOULD have died except for (in his opinion) a miraculous intervention......God altering the future?

This prophesy stuff can be seductive. And yes fun. I think if you believe it about 10%, that's about right.

That's true. And don't forget, strong delusion could take any form or subject.

This is rather lengthy, but for those of you interested in the topic, maybe it will be of interest. Be forewarned the author is critical of Roman Catholics and Lutherans during World War II.
