That post makes no sense.
Animals are used in the military to spare humans.

Huh?

Here is what you said......

Unless the creature knows what they are doing and why, it is immoral for them to be used IMO.

You think my dog knows the difference between my paper or someone else's...or even why he is fetching it?

No straw man there. Your argument is not logical. Animals are used in the military for a number of reasons. Some of those reasons relate to special abilities humans do not possess and some are related to reducing exposure to humans of certain risks. Neither use is immoral.

It's immoral to teach your dog to fetch? So, is it immoral to swat a fly or step on an ant? Is it immoral to kill germs or bacteria? You're nuts... animals are here to serve humankind for reasons of agriculture and labor, i.e., they provide our food and do our hard work... and you're a frightened individual who has no clue where the boundaries of logic and common sense are... a pity on you...

Hey, maybe it's immoral to wrap a snake around your shoulders, here, take a look at your own SI profile...

If you teach the dog to fetch other peoples newspapers, then yes it is immoral.

Teaching animals to steal has been done in movie plots and would certainly be criminal and easily prosecuted.
