they say you should wait until
they've finished mating before you
scoop up the male with your net.

There are very popular arm pit length waders with that have a large life ring/inner tube built in at just below chest level. You can add a tray for your flies, beer, etc that attaches with velcro. I see them up in Georgian Bay in the summer...how sweet would that be!
