Just curious as to why you have built a long term position in AMD. Is it a hedge against INTC or just a long shot risky gamble?

Partly as a hedge for my larger INTC position but more due to the fact that at this stage of my wealth building career I'm far more concerned with smaller more stable gains rather than risks looking for long term gains. I've followed AMD for over 20 years and it is my observation that a lot of money can be made by simply realizing that it has and never will go anywhere (IMO). The reasons are many. Mostly due to Intel's dominant position and vastly greater resources but also to poor management and the uncanny ability of AMD to put hatred of Intel above the shareholders interests. I write puts and calls just about every month and I've used the premiums to establish my AMD long position. Very little cash of my own. It's worked because AMD hasn't gone anywhere but there's always a suc.. I mean an enthusiastic supporter willing to bet they will. Go back 5 or more years and read the posts here. You can hardly tell what year they are from. Same exact hype and expectations. Same results.
