I'm a bit older than the "flower children", so my generation (called the Sandwich generation, or the Forgotten Generation 1935-1945) didn't grow up to have serious expectations for others to do something for us. Our parents fought in the war, and/or kept the homefires burning. The children were taught to respect their elders, and to do their share around the house, and the community. The world didn't owe us a living.

I have other siblings who were born in the Boomer generation. Even with the same parents, their expectations are much different...

Many of the older Boomers are the ones that expect, expect, expect....It is very interesting to watch those expectations and what the church does/says about those expectations, and I'm sure will get even more interesting.

BTW, the Boomers generation is from 1946-1964. Early and Late Boomers....
