Having a good economy makes it easy for them, but they could be increasing benefits and making it easier to be a parasite. They aren't doing that. But they are making laws galore, usually involving more paperwork, permits, delays, bureaucracy, expenses and confusion. That's a big drag on the community. My theory is the new political divide is male-female. Before that it was worker-boss. It used to be rich and poor. Before that it was landed gentry versus labourer and serf. Before that it was Chief/King/Emperor versus tribal underlings with Gengkis Khan, Alexander the Great etc, rampaging across the landscape taking all, killing any. You should expect the same divide to start showing up in the USA and elsewhere as democracy matures there. NZ leads the world in stuff like that. Blokes are abandoning politics and disappearing into the new frontier, cyberspace. Women will rule the temporal world which is now pretty much domesticated, and men the cybersphere. The 3D world used to be a wild masculine place of adventure and High Seas. No longer. Everywhere is tamed [give or take a bit here and there]. There's Condoleezza on CNN right now, saying how things should be in Russia and the rest of the world. A woman is interviewing her. Signs of the times. Now they switch back to the CNN front person, also a woman. [Now, as seen on CNN, two elephants on the loose inside a store, smashing it up? Two bulls in the China shop. - oh, no, it's 6 elephants busted into a restaurant after getting away from what they were supposed to be doing in Seoul] Condi for President? Mqurice
