I met Phil Lesh today. Very nice guy. Though the Dead are not overtly political, they would be very very unhappy that one of their fans supports the rightwingers who fight for pro pollution lobbyists and religious rightwing fruitcakes. The DEad are all about freedom, all kinds of freedom. The rightwing uses the word freedom but they're for intolerance and severe limits on personal freedom. Basically, anything accomplished in the 60's, the rightwing wants to erase and move back to the boring, uptight, dishonest, confirmist 50's.
