Sounds like a reasonable plan. I've seen a good bit of Bolton in video clips; I think he'd be better suited for evangelist than diplomat. The incongruity is, although Bolton might very well be qualified for a number of posts, to be considered for a diplomatic role just seems like a very bad April Fool's joke...

Many more atrocious stories about Bolton coming out now, according to Barbara Boxer on Crossfire. When Voinovich dared to oppose Bush on this it gave the whistle-blowers political cover. Now they're coming out and telling the truth. Why did Bush suggest Bolton? Maybe because Bush likes war and division in the world. Because it helps his cause, scaring voters into voting for him. After all, that's how Bush swiped the 2002 midterm elections and kept the DEms from having subpoena powers to investigate him.
