"The question now is, can the Israelis get their own zealots that believe they are entitled to the entire "Holy Land" to accept a permanent Palestinian state?"

Thats one of at least two questions, no? Isnt there a question on whether arabs can stand jews in the holy land at all? With israel its a relatively small number of zealots. In palestine the rejectionists are a far higher percentage but we can hope any way.

And if possession of nukes secured israel, so be it. It just shows you the power of the hatered that the other side possessed and possesses and the wise decision making of the original israeli leadership that thought nukes would be necessary to deter. Hopefully it will never be used and one day given up but not in our lifetimes i expect.
