"The only bold thing about that statement is the font style you chose for it."

When you come out from under your rock next time read this:

"The dual Dual-Core AMD Opteron was so fast on this test that I repeated the test five times to make sure something wasn’t amiss. Turns out, it really was that fast.

That’s 4.2MB/sec of processing time – a 2x Dual-Core Opteron 275 can process RAW images about as fast as it takes to copy them from to your computer using a standard-grade USB 2.0 CF card reader!

Digital SLR photographers have often asked for a “RAW processor” in PCI-Express hardware to speed things up. It seems like the solution is already here in the form of 2x Dual Core Opteron 275’s and Bibble 4.2.

the performance increase was staggering. I’ve been benchmarking products for almost a decade now, and I can’t remember any other time I encountered such a large leap in real-world performance where I was repeating my tests five different times just to be sure, and then creating a whole new test to provide additional verification.

PS. The above is just kickoff stuff. Wait'll the partners in the ecosystem are finished tinkering with Opteron DC's performance. The next few months should be fun for AMD longs, especially once that flash IPO is completed.
