That's for true! It's the parents money that's buying the stuff, their cars driving them which means their gas, wear and tear.

When my kids have said so-and-so's parents are nicer then you, they let so-and-so have this and that, I tell my kids I'll be happy to call up these parents and have them live over at their house but only the clothes on their backs go with them, I've worked hard and paid for everything they have and they are not taking them to live at so-and-so's house. Since so-and-so has better stuff anyway, let their parents buy all new for you.

That shuts 'em down real quick. I've only had to use that three times, once for each kid.<g>
