Judi,

Do you have any external devices (Printer, CD, DVD, etc.) connected to a USB port? If so, try disconnecting any and all external devices and then try to reboot.

If you still have problems it is possible that something has come loose inside of your computer. You might want to take the cover off and check that all cards are firmly seeded on the motherboard and that all cables are properly connected.
