Isn't it interesting that we haven't heard a word about the $5000 contribution since that original aricle. This is one of the reasons dems don't want to convene the ethics committee. McDermott will finally be investigated. I hope most Americans understand that this too is one of the reasons for stalling. I don't think they do. And if they do...at least his constituency who voted him back in last Nov.....don't seem to care that he broke the law. Leaves a distinct feeling that dems think they are above the law. Not a nice feeling.

At least we can post that information here and some will read it and understand what is going on. Of course that applies to both parties and fringe organizations as well as the MSM and non-MSM.

The money, first reported by Amy Keller in Roll Call, had been deposited in an account for the McDermott Legal Expense Trust, a fund the congressman set up to pay legal bills in a lawsuit brought against him by Rep. John Boehner. (In 1996, McDermott had released to the media the transcript of a phone conversation between Boehner and Newt Gingrich, taped by a Florida couple.)
