54% of normal people disapprove of Bush now, at least two weeks ago, maybe it's worse now. I wouldn't be surprised if Bush's approval ratings get as bad as Delay's before this is over.

Normal people were also hoodwinked by Bush's fear and smear campaign, the most dishonest campaign in memory, and Bush pretending to be a moderate on many issues. As soon as he won, Bush veered sharply to the right, pandering to the fat cat lobbyists and religious right lunatics.
