Few people can understand what another person is thinking. Slander is often the modus operandi of posters on political subjects on all BBs. It is not limited to those from the left. It is interesting because I have observed the content of rightwing discussions seems to have declined. It has been replaced with gloating over how the other side only criticizes rightwing ideas. This is in effect criticism from the right. Rush Limbaugh especially has been pandering to his base by crowing about how few ideas the left has. Other non-liberal talkshow hosts have not slipped into the holier than though mode as much. We all can learn from each other. So far what I have learned from AS is that name calling and slander are counterproductive. Your ideas and mine may be vastly different. Debating the differences will be a pleasure.
