The government could have negotiated prices but the Republicans (and some Dems) actually PREVENTED NEGOTIATIONS in the Medicare bill. That's corporate welfare to BigPharma.

Now they're trying to cut importation of drugs to further monopolize the market. Negotiation and efficiency = good. Monopoly and corruption = bad.

We have enough resources for everyone to get basic level ongoing healthcare and emergency aid. That is one of the most basic requirements of a civilized society along with education, housing and basic infrastructure.

Instead, the government is one giant money laundering machine in which the taxes of hard working middle america get transformed into even more money for megacorporations and the ultrawealthy. This is no longer a civilized society.
