Can you say more about naked shorting-----how do these naked shorts get covered.

I was just on the SGI list and there was a post about SGI being added to the naked short list. The problem with SGI is I don't think there is enough of a public float for the naked shorts to be covered.

If I recall there was discussion on this in early part of year.

Yes, this is all true, you are correct. But it is so rare that, for the sake of simplicity, I just ignored all this.

IMHO, it really isn't a problem because retailers generally will not be involved in naked shorting.

Personally, I have never heard of anybody getting screwed the way you outline, but I have no doubt this is a possibility---just a relatively remote one.
