For over forty years DemoLibs controlled Congress. Their allies in the press provided cover for them as they stacked the courts with constructionists and liberals. Their efforts are now bearing fruit. Can you imagine that David Souter was appointed by President Bush 41? He was the only Republican registered candidate that the President could find with no record on abortion. The Democrat controlled Senate would never allow him to appoint a Supreme with a record of supporting life.
