Do you get any tornadoes where you live? 150 mph and up for those bad boys. When I lived in Mt. Vernon, there were two different tornadoes that hit us one summer. One touched down about a 1/4 mile away and the other went through a house on the other end of my block. The first one completely removed the roof of a new split level home that a minister's flock bought for him as a retirement gift. Entire roof was gone but the furniture was untouched. This happened 3 weeks after the minister moved in.

Maybe you can talk your contractor into extending the warranty an extra 100 mph. I hope you never have to test your new shingles.

Don't know if he'll lose any, but he's probably not going to make any money on this job.
