Whenever you eat any meat--unless it was an organic free range animal who lived outdoors and had healthy food and a nice life until it was killed humanely, and was not shot full of antibiotics and growth hormones--you are condoning treating animals badly. If you eat mainstream American supermarket or restaurant meat, you are a full participant and sponsor of the absolutely horrific treatment of animals. Everyone votes with their food dollars and their hungry mouths. If you eat it, if you purchase it, you are entirely morally responsible for the way it was treated. Period.
