I have already addressed at lot of the things discussed in that article in a previous post to you. There is a very well-orchestrated attack on animal rights' groups, and this article is certainly representative of it. It is also from 1990. The animal rights' movement has evolved, like most movements do. Still, there is absolutely no rational reason you or anyone needs to eat animals or wear them or be entertained by them. These are basic tenets of the animal rights' movement, and I am glad that more people are thinking about these issues and not participating in these kind of animal abuse. We dominate and torture and abuse animals only because we can. I think that world view is despicable. Others may be proud of their petty power over other species.
