I do. I don't know why ticks exist.

Ticks exist because they're a vital part of the ecosystem. Something depends on ticks, somewhere. I have seen pictures of birds riding around on Cape Buffalo just so they can get the ticks. The birds need the ticks. The ticks need the buffalo. The buffalo needs the grass. Dung beetles need the buffalo. The soil needs the dung beetles. The grass needs the soil.

The great principle of the ecosystem is that everything is connected to everything else. There is no reason to take ourselves out of that web if we can participate in it without destroying it.
