MJ,

On the back of your hard drive you have access to your sound card jacks. The PC speakers plug into on of the jacks on the sound card and the jack or hole next to that is where the mic plugs in.

I assume that you are using a desktop PC with separate speakers that sit beside your monitor. Once you have your mic plugged in you should go in and make sure that you have your sound card configured to work properly. This is very easy assuming that you are on an XP or Windows 98 machine.

To configure your sound card just click start/ control panel/ sounds and audio devices. Now click the “Voice” tab at top. Under “Voice recording” click Test Hardware, and just follow the instructions.

Once complete you should be ready for voice chat.

Let me know if you have questions.
