Gib, I read a bit more and according to Intel, WiMax doesn't look like a mobile product: intel.com|wng_wimax|C6F|s

Intel would know.

Meanwhile, hot off the press. I am reliably informed that Livedoor in Japan is to start a metropolitan scale WiFi network in July. Message 21255005

I know that WiFi can be mobile and I have invested a Tonka Truckload of money in RoamAD, which has recently announced a metropolitan network using their technology in Perth, Australia and also an Arizona highway system [for emergency services/Homeland Security purposes]. Skype works fine on RoamAD's Arizona network at 80 mph.
