Anyone have an opinion on Cisco earings. It seems the stock has been stuck here for a long time. Can it really be worse than last quarter?

Mindmeld, I guess you didn't hear about the manufacturer that removed their automated trolly because paying labor for moving boxes around was cheaper than paying for the equipment.

Labor is essentially unlimited in some countries. In some foreign countries, have you ever wondered why there are a dozen people standing around your table at a restaurant? Once you begin to realize they are all there to serve your table, you begin to ask for something, anything - but that's when you realize they are probably the owner's unemployed relatives he's forced to hire, but they don't really work. They just hang around and get in the way. They help keep the unemployment number low.

In comparison, US waitresses/waiters are extremely efficient and highly trained in service. One waitress/waiter will handle several tables and works hard.

There is a truth in what Lizzie says. And irony. But a valid counter point would be, it's a flow you need to keep ahead. Join it, don't fight it. Adjust.

But the bottom-line is, those firms that try to sell the USA-way into overseas markets may have their heads handed to them. One could expect to see some entrenched, big-ticket companies struggle with their revenue growth as their demand increasingly shifts from the US to global.

Regards,
Amy J
