No Hatch isn't a liberal but Feinstein is, and in some ways Spector is.

I also wouldn't consider Hatch to be a "conservative Republican" in the sense that he is on the conservative side of the Republican party. Maybe he used to be, but he's moved at least slightly to the left and the party has moved a bit to the right.
He could however reasonably be considered a conservative Republican, in the sense that he is on the conservative side of the population as a whole in the US, and that he is a Republican.
