I never said marcos didnt have good points. Of course if he kept it in post 1947 partition historical context he would do a lot better. No one explains the pro-zionist position more effectively than Nadine but i dont buy into every word. Since 1947, jews have made their share of mistakes and we can see that with 20/20 hindsight. One mistake was to start the settlements in the first place attracting militant jews to the region. That was done to gain bargaining power with arab states. No Virginia, it didnt work out the way they planned and now the zealots are a bigger problem than need be.
No the israelis have often been clumsy and heavy handed. Having said that the US would have more heavier handed in similar circumstances and God knows we make all sorts of mistakes.
But for Marcos, the arabs make none and the so-called palestinians who are really part of the arab nation which holds 99.9% of the land in the region are pure innocents. The left descends into PC with CW that sucks. I am headed out of here for the weekend i hope; although these days i am always near a computer. Grandkids call. There are three of them now. Mike
