What I am doing is none of her business. I could have a broken foot; I could be home with a sick child; I could be off on a teacher work day, or be out of school for any number of reasons

no, you could have simply said...

'i'm sorry if you misunderstood my current situation'

'i'm not teaching at the present time, and the school policy is xyz....'

my question was about policy, not about what you are doing at the moment...

there was an assumption on my part that your were teaching (that assumption based upon your posts)

which led to the logical question...

how can you be posting when you are teaching?

all i wanted from you was if it was policy for CA teachers had unfettered inet access

but instead you chose to become defensive and make the question all about you

and seriously

it is not

it was a question born out of what appeared (to me) to be a cognitive dissonance....

a full time teacher posting full time on the internet

and simply asked you to disabuse me of any faulty assumptions

apparently you cannot
