Trust? I guess?

I just got off the phone with some Calgary-based clients. I asked them if Albertans trusted Ralph Klein.

Answer 1. They "trust" him to do the same thing today as he did yesterday and to do it again tomorrow.

Answer 2. They "trust" him not to fuck up our pot of gold.

IMO the fear of Harper being extreme right (many definitions most of which I do not agree with) is developed through guilt by association and for some reason he cannot distance himself as do most other national politicians when they experience (as all do) "rogue" or "dissident" or "vocal" party members or supporters. If this is the case than that is still is his shortcoming. Perhaps he needs only to run the country to clear that particular hurdle; however, without the present mess I doubt he would ever get the chance.

You can be brilliant but if you cannot effectively communicate your ideas no one will ever know the difference.

Regarding morality. I see than being exclusive of state; however, our laws have always been portrayed as state definitions of morality as “accepted” by society. Who is society?

"Maybe we need a new centrist-libertarian party"

Let me know how that goes.
