Disregard my initial post...the site I cited was for dial up modem troubleshooting..

Just as an aside...I had that problem a couple of years back and it turned out to be the plug in connection from the router to the back of my desktop computer...it was loose.

Before I discovered the loose connection I would reconnect by going to Start..Run...type in ipconfig /renew (space between g and /...and hit enter. It was easier than a reboot.

Just had a similar problem when I came back from a vacation. Everything powered back up and the router quit working. Replaced that and still had a problem with printing across the network to that one pc that had the most popular printer. It turned out being the ethernet card in that pc which was intermittent. Have you tried switching ports on your router for the one that won't connect? Sometimes there can be a dead port right out of the box.
