I spent my life working with renewable resources. I'd like to see all of our industry operating on those principles.

I've seen drift nets in the ocean compared with clearcutting, but that is an obscene, absurd, and totally incorrect comparison.

Clearcutting is a REGENERATION METHOD, and is a necessary process in the reproduction of stands of trees in many areas. Drift nets just cut a big chunk out of the population of fish without doing a single thing to replenish them.

If there weren't too many people, none of this would be an issue.
