Gus >>Africa and its Issues- Why Have We Ignored Africa?<< Interesting to find such a thread at SI and even more interesting to find some people who are positive and, indeed, complimentary about South Africa. Being positive about SA is something older white South Africans won't be in public -- even if, covertly, they are! Young ones are a different story and many are guardedly optimistic, including my own children -- which surprises me. It's really quite a schizophrenic situation with different perceptions of reality.
