I mean, there are actually canon lawyers! Who interpret the Code of Canon Law.

I wouldn't be surprised if some Jesuits keep track of billable hours. I don't mean for money. I mean service to God. 5000 to 6000 hours is doable <ggg>.

Code of Canon Law

First time I heard of this was when the story broke out about priests in Boston and child abuse. Apparently (I dont recollect details) one of them wanted to be tried under Canon Law, not US law.

What other religion has a codified book of law, and lawyers who specialize in that law?

Judaism and Islam, for starters.
