I suppose. I haven't had time to read the thread lately, so i really don't know who my buddies are.

I think Jesus probably existed, there is just too much lore in too many religions to questions that (he's even recognized as a prophet in Islam).

That said, it really doesn't make any difference. His (real or purported) teaching are wonderful, and if they were actually taken to heart and practiced it would change the world to a much better place.

The part that bothers me most is that his very limited teachings have been perverted and politicized and used for financial gain by various "churches" and groups. If you take a literal God and a literal Jesus seriously, then my conclusion would be that the most likely folks to burn in hell are the people that have taken his philosophy and bent it to their own purpose. I think they are the greatest sinners, much more than the agnostics or even atheists. That's my view of how Jesus would see things.
