Ted, One of the most sensible analyses of the political spectrum I've run across is a British site called the "Political Compass". Here's what the author has to say about Hitler: " Hitler, on an economic scale, was not an extreme right-winger. His economic policies were broadly Keynesian, and to the left of some of today's Labour parties. If you could get Hitler and Stalin to sit down together and avoid economics, the two diehard authoritarians would find plenty of common ground." You'll find a graphic on the page labeled "Analysis". politicalcompass.org If anything, Hitler was a centrist on the Left-Right scale. But where he really was an ogre was on his self-aggrandizing belief in the State.

Union thugs coordinated attacks against Bush / Cheney headquarters across the country right before the election. Children of elected Wisconsin Democrats were arrested for vandalism and destruction of property the day before the November election for slashing the tires of rented vans. Numerous violent leftist protesters were arrested in numerous Bush ralleys. Those same non-violent protesters were outnumbered at the Seattle WTO meeting. etc. I searched on teoma for "violent protesters". Following is a smattering of the results. All evidence demonstrates that leftists are much more violent that rightists. stater.kent.edu foxnews.com dailyemerald.com seattlepi.nwsource.com news.scotsman.com primetimecrime.com taipeitimes.com freerepublic.com In fact, the only "violent protester" links that turned up near the top on either google or teoma were either leftists, for non-violent protester, or anti-abortion zealots.
