If a people vote in a government that engages in expansionism and all the inherent misdeeds caused by this, its not necessarily defensible simply because the majority voted for it.

Let's see.. If people vote to expand into neighboring countries, then that's called an act of war.

When they choose to settle in land that was CONFISCATED from an neighboring aggressor state, that's called settlement.

From my perspective, any nation that attacks another risks the forfeiture of life, property, and economic wealth.

This is even more the case when a non-democratic state attacks a democratic one, simply because the latter possesses a government that is accountable to its people.

Israel, and the policies voted on by its people are NOT perfect. But they are SUSCEPTIBLE to economic and international pressure in a way that dictatorships are not.

Israel, for all of its fanatics, has a thriving opposition, including the 20% of the voting population that is ARAB.

When I say defending Israel is worthwhile, that goes for those 1 million+ Arabs who are Israeli citizens.

And you can just call me "Hawk".. Calling me "Mr. Moon" makes me feel like buying the Washington Times...
