Nah....that was a value pick when Rodgers fell to 24. The rest of our draft was shocking. You never know how these guys will perform but to say we were unconventional between rounds 2-7 would be an understatement. I'm not sure we drafted a "positional starter" other than KR. We went off the board and took selections that were out of order so all I can say is we had better have some good information on all the "projects." What we (the fans) don't know is if Favre said to Sherman and Thompson that this would be his final year no matter what. If he said that we just drafted for the future which is fine. If he didn't we just screwed a hall of fame QB in what could be his final year. If we're not angling for a trade or two and some FA signings I'm not sure I understand our draft. We gave Hawthorne to the Raiders when Barry Alverez said he was the best DL he had ever coached. I know the guy tested positive for pot but when you're in the 6th round and you can draft a guy like that I think you take the gamble.
