Unless the Gov BES takes some account of it, the underground and illegal immigrant economy would push up the consumption figures and not show up on the disposable income figures, thus no savings would be calculated. Even if their is an adjustment, the real life figures could be much different since the unreported income would be just a guess. Look at the discrepancy of the household survey versus payroll survey. Since the trough employment date, household survey shows twice the employment increase. Thank God for "Independent Contractors". Rich
