I agree. But it is essential. That is why the policals in Quebec are watching this lawsuit by Dr Chaoilli. They hope he will win. That way the court will have decided, not them.

More than that. The way it is now, I cannot insured myself to cover the costs of curing a severe decease. By not allowing private health that would help me right now if I am willing to pay and forcing me to wait 12 or 24 months to get some services, they are going against the article 7 of the Charter of rights which essentially says that I have the right to do everything to save my life.

It always depends on what you have and were you are in Canada.
