Maybe cut case management by 90%. We have 4 CMs (RNs), each with two assistants, for 42 med/surg/ICU beds.

If I was running my place, I'd start off by saying...

How many people did you have in your department in '92? (cuz that's when I started there). How many people do you have now? Fire the difference. Maybe, to be generous and popular, I'll say hire the difference, to the departments which have lost people, like nursing, RT, and lab.

Let me get this straight. You want free and open markets. Effectively owned and operated by the gov't. Right.

I think "free and open" implies more than one bidder and more than one supplier. But there is only one gov't. Do you see a problem here?

Did I say I was against "ALL forign competition"? Or even just "foreign competition in the medical sciences"?
