I believe in a stated timetable for withdrawl

I disagree.

We presently have a very favorable, geographical strategic position.

I would not begin to plan a complete withdrawal before we know, with at least a modicum of certainty, we don't have to skin some other cats.

Too many good things happening right now that could go south if we show any weakness whatsoever. One is Lebanon. I believe today is the last day for the Syrian pullout.

I believe in a stated timetable for withdrawl that will hopefully force the iraqis to solve their internal problems

No, it would just encourage the terrorists that all they had to do was hang on a little longer, then victory! There are many ways that the US can pressure the Iraqis, more quietly, without giving such encouragment to the Wahabbis and Baathists.
