Sitting in a motorized wheelchair builds up butt fat. It's good for paras and people with neuromuscular disorders who can't pump the wheels. At least get the hand powered one and build up the arms.
Crutches build up the arm pits. And, you can put one on a chair, sit on it, and use it as a leg rest.

And, you should pay the difference between crutches (necessary) and the chair (high tech, luxury, state of the art gold standard) out of your own pocket. No reason I should help pay for the best; just the adequate.
