I used to eat steak, myself. And I have a lot of confidence that people can and do change their perspectives on all sorts of things. And I understand that people are very much influenced by the cultures they grew up in/live in now. The increasing number of vegetarians/vegans in cattle country are hopeful, though. Perhaps your children or grandchildren will not have the same gusto for steak that you do. Or perhaps you will lose yours if you develop heart disease or cancer or diabetes because of your fondness for it. There are a lot of roads to a better place, after all.
