Collapse of the USSR was a good thing. The problem of russians outside of russia is that they were put there by the communists to get control of bordering areas. Now there are russians in potential jeopardy. Hopefully there can be a long term peaceful resolution of problems as they arise. The worst thing any of these countries can do is to somehow disenfranchise their russian component. Angering Putin would not be good and we have to think how dangerous any military move by putin would be because now in many cases he would be attacking nato countries. This is going to be a tough long term problem that needs to be settled peacefully and perhaps regionally. Mike
