I am concerned that the Kurds will use this dispute with the new "PM" to try to opt for independence. At this point, I think they are being unreasonable in holding up the PM. A united iraq is better than a split up version and an independent Kurd state becomes a target for turks and iraqi arabs. A united iraq is very important for US FP objectives in the region too. mike
