Either E-Wave works or it does not

Yeah, it works well in a trend. But when we get into thick Jell-o it loses almost all its usefulness IMO. Not that its not "working" in jello, its just unreadable.

A hound from this point says much about America, our future and the outcome of many current events.

Wow! I think you are attaching too much significance to these minor waves!

INDU is not the crazy it is made out to be on this board. It is an old, dusty relic, to be sure. But it is also the most referred to relic around the world. There may be better indicies to measure by, and NYA may be one of the better, but INDU is a fine old port, not too dry; not too sweet.

It is a measure of what Mr. Market thinks of himself.
It is our corporate ego...

Well said. I agree. It makes little difference how the INDU is structured and what it is composed of. It is the oldest index, it is all over the place, it is in the center of public attention, and it is emotionally charged - which means that it should "count" relatively well. Imo it certainly is a legit subject for EW analysis.
