I disagree. We all mention things here- many of us mention families, but I doubt most of us expect to be grilled on the names of our children, our spouse, and where they are at any particular time. We all may mention work, but grilling someone on when they work, is inappropriate. I suggest to you that it is inappropriate anywhere. I would never, in 3d, ask someone to tell me why they were somewhere other than at work. It's rude and obnoxious. It's just not something you DO. It's only natural if you want to be rude and obnoxious (imo, of course). I notice that only people who want to be adversarial address such "natural questions" to people. I think you need to think long and hard about what you are defending. It looks creepy and indefensible to me. I would never ask you what you do, why you are posting here, or about your family. What you share here, is your business. What you do NOT share, is also only your business.
