I am not arguing that highly credentialed or experienced people do not make good arguments. They usually make the best arguments, actually. But there are people here with a huge variety of backgrounds, not all of them academics. I think they also have valuable input. I don't want anyone to feel intimidated or like people are talking down to them or insinuating they are stupid or uneducated. This does not happen often but it does sometimes, and I just really don't like it.
